Suno v6 API
Generate complete songs — vocals, lyrics and instrumentals — through one asynchronous REST endpoint. The chirp-v6 family covers the flagship Suno v6 model, a fast economical tier and a more experimental variant, billed per request in credits.
10–12 credits per song · 1 USD = 100 credits
What the Suno v6 API gives you
The Suno v6 API lets a server-side application create full songs from a text prompt or custom lyrics. You pick a model from the chirp-v6 family, send one POST request, and receive a workId for an asynchronous task — vocals, structure and instrumentation are produced for you.
Three current models share the same endpoint. chirp-v6 is the flagship for production releases. chirp-v6-mini is the fast and economical tier for high-volume or prototype workloads. chirp-v6-wild is the more experimental variant when you want looser, more adventurous arrangements. Every result reports the model that actually produced the audio in model_name, so you can migrate legacy integrations safely.
Quickstart: create and poll a task
Send an authenticated POST to /v2/generate, save the returned workId, then poll /v2/feed until the task completes — or pass callback_url and wait for the webhook.
curl -X POST "https://udioapi.pro/api/v2/generate" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "chirp-v6",
"prompt": "Verse 1: Walking down the street, feeling so free\nChorus: Summer dreams are calling me",
"style": "pop, upbeat, electronic, 120 bpm",
"title": "Summer Dreams",
"make_instrumental": false
}'
curl -X GET "https://udioapi.pro/api/v2/feed?workId=YOUR_WORK_ID"Generation is asynchronous. Poll every 5–10 seconds with a bounded timeout, and download the audio URLs promptly — media links are temporary.
Suno v6 models and pricing
All three models are available on generate, upload-cover and extend. Prices are per request; 1 USD buys 100 credits.
| Model | Credits | ≈ USD | Positioning |
|---|---|---|---|
| chirp-v6 | 12 | ≈ $0.12 | Flagship — highest-fidelity songs for production releases |
| chirp-v6-mini | 10 | ≈ $0.10 | Fast and economical — batch jobs and prototyping |
| chirp-v6-wild | 12 | ≈ $0.12 | More experimental — adventurous arrangements |
Legacy identifiers keep working at their historical price: chirp-v5 and chirp-v5-5 are served by chirp-v6; chirp-v3-5, chirp-v4-0, chirp-v4-5, chirp-v4-5-plus and chirp-v4-5-all are served by chirp-v6-mini. Omitting the model field bills the 5-credit base tier served by chirp-v6-mini.

From API key to a playable track in four steps.
- 1
Create an API key
Sign in, open the dashboard and copy a key. Keep it in a server-side secret — never in browser code.
- 2
Submit the task
POST /v2/generate with your model and prompt. The response returns a workId for the asynchronous job.
- 3
Poll or receive a callback
GET /v2/feed?workId=... every 5–10 seconds, or pass callback_url and handle the completion webhook.
- 4
Download the audio
On SUCCESS the feed response contains temporary audio URLs. Store the files on your own storage.
Simple credit pricing
1 USD converts to 100 credits. A chirp-v6 song costs about $0.12 and a chirp-v6-mini song about $0.10 — you pay only for the model you pick, with no seat or subscription required for API access.
Pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Rejected or failed requests are refunded automatically.
Limits and notes
- All generation endpoints are asynchronous; the POST response contains a workId, not audio.
- Poll /v2/feed with bounded retries, or use callback_url for server-to-server delivery.
- chirp-v5 and chirp-v5-5 requests produce chirp-v6 audio; earlier legacy identifiers produce chirp-v6-mini.
- Media URLs are temporary — download and persist outputs to your own storage.
- Keep prompts, titles and styles within the documented limits; longer values are truncated.

Suno v6 API FAQ
Answers about models, billing and the asynchronous workflow.
Is this the official Suno API?
No. udioapi.pro is an independent third-party API service with its own endpoints, accounts, credits, terms and support. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Suno or Udio.
Which Suno v6 model should I start with?
Use chirp-v6-mini for prototyping and high-volume work — it is the fast, economical tier at 10 credits. Switch to chirp-v6 (12 credits) when you need flagship quality, or chirp-v6-wild for more experimental output.
How much does a request cost?
chirp-v6 and chirp-v6-wild cost 12 credits per request and chirp-v6-mini costs 10. At 1 USD = 100 credits that is roughly $0.10–$0.12 per song. Omitting the model field bills the 5-credit base tier served by chirp-v6-mini.
How do I get the generated audio?
Every accepted request returns a workId. Poll GET /v2/feed?workId=... every 5–10 seconds until the status is SUCCESS, or pass callback_url to receive a webhook. The feed response then contains the audio URLs.
Do my old model identifiers still work?
Yes. chirp-v5 and chirp-v5-5 are served by chirp-v6, and chirp-v3-5 through chirp-v4-5-all are served by chirp-v6-mini — each at its historical price. model_name reports the model that produced the audio.
Can I extend or cover a generated song?
Yes — the chirp-v6 family is available on generate, upload-cover and extend. Extensions are billed at the original track's model price, and rejected or failed requests are refunded.
